Ally’s passion is making yoga accessible to everyone. “Ally has been extremely successful by blending her knowledge of movement and injury prevention as a Physical Therapist with the mind and body aspects of yoga,” says Jon Delk, COO and partner of EW Motion Therapy. “She has helped her clients achieve better health and vitality by developing a lifelong yoga practice.” As EW’s lead yoga instructor, Ally teaches private, small group, and community classes. She also participates in weekly professional development and is pursuing advanced yoga education geared towards the preand postpartum client. Ally founded the EW Yoga program at Good People Brewery with the goal of bringing an effective, safe, and affordable program to the Greater Birmingham area. Additionally, Ally has completed coursework in yoga for trauma survivors and completed CoreAlign and Pilates Mat certification, which she regularly integrates into her yoga practice. Ally enjoys working with teens, clients with dementia, autism, or PTSDathletes and non-athletes, and anyone who simply wants to move and feel better. “The great thing about yoga,” Ally says, “is that, with proper instruction, it always meets you wherever you are in your motion goals. Caroline’s passion is helping people feel better, move better, and live better through movement. “Caroline’s care for people is evident,” says Jesse Douglas, Director of EW FIT. “She is present during training sessions and is exceptional with individualizing programs. Clients love her, and the quality outcomes speak for themselves!” Caroline trains clients in private, semiprivate, and small group sessions at our Homewood facility. She integrates her knowledge as a certified exercise physiologist with her training in kettlebells, sandbags, and stick mobility to create fun and energetic progressions. Having played collegiate tennis, Caroline has a unique perspective on training the adolescent and adult athlete. Her areas of interest include strength and conditioning training with elderly clients, women’s fitness, sports performance and injury prevention, and balance training and fall prevention. In addition to having a master’s degree in exercise physiology, Caroline is an ACSM-certified exercise physiologist and a certified Stick Mobility Coach, has completed the Strongfirst Kettlebell User Course, and is DVRT sandbag certified. Caroline practices what she preaches by staying active with workouts, tennis, ultimate frisbee, weight lifting, hiking, and being outside. Ivy is the founder and lead instructor of EW Motion Therapy Pilates. Ivy’s passion is to help people recognize and retrain unhealthy movement patterns and to provide clients with the tools they need to pursue a healthy, active lifestyle. Ethan White, CEO and founding partner of EW Motion Therapy, has referred to Ivy as “a true master integrator of the principles of movement, postural awareness, alignment, and lifestyle management.” Ivy doesn’t just teach Pilates exercise classes,  she uses Pilates as a way to connect with her clients and build lifelong relationships centered around health and vitality.  As our lead Pilates Instructor, Ivy teaches 25 to 30 classes per week, conducts weekly staff developmental training, and actively continues her pursuit of excellence through continuing education. She has received advanced training from Master Instructors including Cara Resser, Rachel Taylor Segel, Mary Bowen, and Marie-Jose Blom. Additionally, she has studied with Brent Anderson and Chrissy Romani-Ruby, who integrated Pilates into the field of physical therapy. Matt Wright’s passion is helping clients discover and build healthy movement patterns that keep them injury free, healthy, and independent. “Matt’s background in multiple sports gives him a unique perspective when working with clients,” says Jesse Douglas, Director of EW FIT. “He sees an opportunity for everyone to train and improve, regardless of fitness level, and brings energy and passion to every session.” Matt trains clients in private and semiprivate sessions and small groups. Having a Level 1 StrongFirst Girya certification, he expertly and safely incorporates kettlebell principles into his private and group training. Matt designs programs for clients with histories of neck and back pain that prevent re-injury and promote independence. His areas of interest include the prevention of back and neck pain through exercise, sport-specific training, and strength and conditioning. Katherine’s passion is helping her clients build sound habits towards better posture and mobility by educating and building correct movement patterns. Katherine routinely incorporates manual therapy, corrective exercise, and advanced Pilates training into her wellness and rehab progressions. Katherine is responsible for direct patient care through physical therapy and wellness programs. Additionally, she serves as our Coordinator of Clinical Education, placing students from EW Motion Therapy clinics into physical therapy educational programs across the country. “Katherine has a unique skill set, perhaps best illustrated by her work with a professional MMA fighter,” says Jesse Douglas, Director of EW FIT. “She was able to incorporate her physical therapy and Pilates background into a program that helped him stay healthy and compete professionally.” Her areas of interest include the pre and postpartum clientpostoperative rehabilitationpelvic floor dysfunctionhip, knee, and ankle/foot injuriesand neck pain.Katherine has Advanced Pilates training in Mat, Reformer, and CoreAlign. He listens well and takes great care to meet his clients at their current level. “Everyone has their own story and I want to be a positive part of that tale,” says Trey. Jesse Douglas, Director of EW FITsays, “Trey is able to create a perfect blend of exercises and education into every session. By balancing the principles of flexibility, strength, and conditioning, he develops safe and effective routines, all while producing excellent outcomes.” As an EW Motion Specialist, Trey trains clients in our Homewood facility. Trey, a certified personal trainer, certified conditioning specialist, orthopedic exercise specialist, and stick mobility coachbrings a wealth of knowledge to every session. Trey’s areas of interest include kettlebells, balance and fall risk prevention, strength and conditioning, and the mind/body connection. Trey has trained clients ranging from the adolescent to the geriatric to Mixed Martial Arts fighters. He stays active with regular kettlebell workouts, yoga classes, trail running, and slack lining.
