Scott’s passion is to help people recognize their opportunity to improve, promote and retain healthy movement patterns through strategies and techniques that enhance their potential to move better, feel better, and live better. Scott has an extensive background in manual therapy, corrective exercise, client education, and dry needling. He provides hands-on care during client interventions to address movement impairments. Jon Delk, COO and partner of EW Motion Therapy, states, “Scott’s extensive work and training with the adolescent athlete, his knowledge of growth-related injuries, and his advanced skill of incorporating manual therapy with corrective exercise allows him to develop practical, safe, and effective treatment programs for patients from gymnasts to dancers to runners to football players.” Scott’s areas of interest include maximizing the potential of the adolescent athlete, developing sound lumbo-pelvic-hip-knee-ankle-foot strategies to promote injury prevention, growth related injuries, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, postconcussion rehabilitation, TMJ, neck pain, shoulder pain, and back pain. Scott is a Fellow with the Gray Institute and is certified in Dry Needling. Additionally, he is pursuing advanced training in CoreAlign integration. He stays active with Cross Fit, running, hiking, and photography and enjoys spending time with his family. A native of Chicago, Scott has lived in Birmingham since 1990.

ANDREW MCINNIS

Andrew’s passion is to empower his clients and greater community in developing the confidence, knowledge, motivation, and healthy habits needed to create a lifetime of pain-free movement, mental and physical strength, and a healthy lifestyle.  

Andrew maintains a full client schedule in our Hoover facility. Having played collegiate soccer, with additional experience in competitive swimming and tennis, he brings a unique skill set of training, competing, as well as personal experience with injury and rehabilitation. Mike Eskridge, Chief Development Officer for Education and Staff Development states, “Andrew is truly gifted as a motivator, physical therapist, and sports performance specialist. Whether he is working with the high school runner or a senior client, Andrew expertly creates personalized programming that helps them achieve, and more often than not, exceed their goals!” 

His areas of interest include sports performance, return to sports post-injury, EW Run evaluations, the “Overhead Athlete”, Pilates, Yoga, Balance, low back pain, and CrossFit. Andrew firmly believes that connecting and motivating his clients are the keys to the successful planning and program development! 

Having grown up playing sports and spending an extensive amount of time in the outdoors, he continues to stay active with golf, meeting new people, hunting, fishing, traveling, and soccer.  

A native of Louisiana, Andrew has called Alabama his home since 2012.
